What they did was take a story from the brothers Grimm(The Skillful Huntsman) and make it into a production design project. It was an assignment for my design process 2 class. Doing silhouettes is kinda of a new thing for me and i think i have been doing it slightly wrong i going to go read over The skillful huntsman and see if i can get anything out of it! The plan is to format it something similar to what Scott Robertson guided his students at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, Khang Le, Mike Yamada, and Felix Yoon to do in their "The Skillful Huntsman. I got the idea of the Skillful Huntsman, a book I got from design studio press. Me and a few others are taking inspiration from The Skillful Huntsman book and decided to do some process work of our own to get a better understanding on how we'd like to work as individuals. This is essentially a sketchbook. This book is personally what I would call the epitome of entertainment design in print (as is The Skillful Huntsman). And the art students in particular are Khang Le, Mike Yamada and Felix Yoon. Hi, here is my take on the Brothers Grimm tale "The skillful huntsman". It'll be a good exercise for my atrophying artistic muscle to try to interpret some of these sketches into 3d. And models created by the inaugural class of entertainment design students is a “must-have” for any fan of entertainment design and for those who have enjoyed the first Art Center student book, The Skillful Huntsman. This is an ongoing side project by the designers and their website should update as they create more. It also looks very much like a school project for art students.
